Answering Forward Feature Questions

For this task, I had to call in forward feature briefs and deadlines from editors of publications. For this, I used Gorkana to find the most appropriate person to email for the briefs.

Once I had received the briefs from the editors, I then researched the answers of the questions, ready for a colleague to write the feature in full. This particular forward feature was for OOH Magazine, for the client McCain Foodservice.


1. How big is the fast-casual market? 

10% of whole market but has grown 500% since 1999.

2. What are the most popular fast-casual foods? 

In 2015, pizza-focused chains were all the rage, with sales expanding a whopping 36%. Concepts with a niche-focus such as BBQ, health-based or with a specific ethnic focus grew 17%, and chicken-based establishments grew at 16%.

3. How can you speed up your service of fast-casual foods?

Use of technology – digital menus, ease of payment
